ATG Watches
Description
Cauny Prima
This one is 10k plated gold in a shallow ‘large for its time case’ with engraved stainless steel back….. its dial has aged beautifully but the case including movement seem NOS… I think this is one of those watches that sat in the back of a shop for years….
The crystal is acrylic domed and makes this watch a classy and dressy watch…… it has a Landeron 48 movement so start at top pusher then stop and reset with bottom pusher.
NB: This dial is amazing… gold applied markers and it has a linen texture I have darkened the dial shots to get the detail but the dial is not quite so aged and is really very, very pretty…… with beautiful rapier hands….
The movement has been serviced and is very clean 45
minute register with just a great handset combination….
I’ve matched the watch with a vintage lizard strap which looks great……
The watch comes in a vintage style linen backed box manufactured for this collection and usual the ATG guarantee is applied as is the same for all of my watches. They are all serviced and in the best condition I can provide.
The watch has been serviced and carries a 3 month mechanical warranty. Due to their age and the original use of these watches there are minor marks to be found on the cases which add to their vintage look without detracting from the quality, view the pictures for clarification.

Vintage Cauny 'Prima' late 50's
History
CAUNY as a brand was created in 1927 and based in La Chaux-De-Fond, Switzerland
The quality of the watches is very good, their logo the “Fleur de Lys” is striking and appears to have been re registered in the early 70’s after the late 60’s demise this time in Madrid, Spain. The logo this time more stylised….The brand seems to have developed well in the Iberian Peninsula, Spain, Portugal, Andorra as well as South America. The watches are good quality and very stylish.
