The Site
ATG was started 7 years ago to offer quality vintage watches from an informed source on the internet. Our aim is to take the 'mystique' away from owning a classic time piece and make your visit here interesting and informative. Have a look through the various areas and see if there is anything you might like and read some of the watch histories and enjoy the pictures. We also now use Google Checkout which means your details are protected from even ATG.

The New Watches
My interest in vintage watches was stoked largely because modern manufacturers seemed to have lost touch with what people actually wanted to buy... I am glad to see that they are begining to catch up and I am pleased to be the sole online Authorised Dealer of Bremont watches as well as stocking watches from Fortis, Manometro and Harwood. Just look in the Watch Store for details and purchasing.
More watches companies will be added as I build relationships with these people and feel that I can do business with them. My customers needs are always at the front of my mind as is a devotion to quality and value.
The Vintage Watches
We chose to present for the site watches that we would wear ourselves, they are of a certain quality and come from many different companies that are now mostly a memory. Many of the watches are Chronographs from a time when these watches were at the zenith of their design with movements that were at least 70 years in their development. For example the manual watches will typically run fairly accurately on a single wind for 30 hours while some will remain faily accurate a good deal longer.
Brand names like Valjoux, Landeron, Heuer (with their chronomatic ), Hamilton, Breitling, CWC, in collecting circles immediately lift these watches to a 'reliable quality status'. The cases at present are all screw back stainless steel chosen for their simple but rugged beauty and practicality, I have tried to offer the most interesting looking watches to go along with this philosophy of quality while combining them with beautifully manufactured leather and stainless steel straps.
All of our watches are serviced by second generation Rolex qualified watch makers through whom we extend a 3 month mechanical warranty. ATG does not give a water (or even splash-proof) guarantee to any of it's vintage watches.
The watches are sold in a 'ready to wear' condition with a branded linen back Vintage style box.
