The idea of forums is for people to meet discuss and share ideas about watches, old new, blue, green anything! The site is largely for chronograph enthusiasts, but that does not mean that you cannot post about other types of watches just as long as they are interesting in their own way. Discuss ‘Off topic’ subjects not relating to the watch world and post your pictures too See Forum Guide for advice.

The reason I manged to spot Clarkson's new watch was because I was had always liked Al's and that i've been waiting on one to arrive.

So heres a quick photo of it along side his brother. The classic looking pilots watch with it's silver dial.... really looks very cool.

Need another strap though as they both have brown leather straps fitted. Apologies for the narrow DOF. I'll try to get some more shots done.

Wow, Martin. What a pair! I have to say the silver Alt1-C is pretty nice. I have no regrets about the panda dial, but the silver was snapping at its heels.
Now if only that black-dialled one would get here faster...

Wow Martin - great stuff. they do make a good pair.
Now make sure you don't leave it lying around on top of a large piece of granite.......

Do Bremont run a loyalty scheme? I think you would qualify, but then again perhaps a trip up in their own plane is more than most loyalty schemes would get anyone.

Congrats.
Cheers

Hi,

Long time listener, first time caller. I tried to create a topic but I kept being directed back to the main page every time I clicked on the ‘create topic’. Maybe I need to have a certain number of posts before I can do that?

I found what I thought was a suitable post as I wanted to mention the recent price hike on Bremont watches in some shops namely Charles Fish in Canary Wharf. I though it was a mistake when saw it but now Jura watches have upped their prices on their website too. It’s a big increase too, just when I was getting close with my watch fund they’ve moved the goalposts.

Alistair will you be doing the same any time soon?!

Welcome Dan (from afar),
Sorry to hear your Bremont fund has been set back by a price rise. Hang in there - they are very cool and I think a watch to have for life.
As for the posting, what OS are you using and what browser - there have been a few hiccups with some browsers in the past (sorry, Al, but the painful memory of inability to post lingers!). Sometimes you need to reset the browser, clear cookies etc...
Which Bremont are you after?
Cheers from Oz

Hey Dan,

Welcome aboard. Unfortunately due to the crazy costs of all manufactured things at the moment the watches indeed have taken a hike! Let me know if I can help you out with a particular model, info@atgvintagewatches.com

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the responses and the info. It must be something to with my Firefox settings as I use that at work on Windows and at home on OS X and experience the same problem

I also noticed the prices of new Rolex went up a few months ago, a friend was amazed that the Datejust's we own had gone up by nearly £400! Sign of the times I suppose....

Anyway to answer the all important quesiton.. its the ALT1-P I'm after, in black.

Alistar I will be in touch very soon.

Have a great w/end all.
