Wearnig a fairly clean-looking US Mil style Benrus (dated '70 but not sure it was issued). Hands are a bit of a mess but nice clean face. Bought to do a compare and contrast against my 1970 Smiths W10. Only just arrived this morning, so forgive the poor quality shot from my phone...

You can go off people!!!

Well my new phone has now only got a 3.2megapixelated camera thingy on the back of it, and I have just learnt which button you use to focus it......

This old thing for me today, preparing for another wet weekend.

Had this on today, but on one of Al's 20 mm Kevlar divers. Cool.

Air Race Pics

Didn't go this year, and last years pics were too poor to post even by my standards!
Then, my waterproof camera failed whilst I was jumping down a waterfall in the Dominican Republic, memory card and everything toast - so I couldn't
post them even if I wanted to.....

And then, the dog ate my homework honest!

Golfing today and dinner tonight with the family. I'll be wearing this Sinn most of the day.

However, I'm expecting a vintage (1976) chrono any day now and if it comes today I'm sure that I will make the switch.

BTW Al  - I love the "little people shot."

Gary,

Beautiful . . .

I saw this watch at the last Ohio GTG and have been looking for one ever since. I don't see them come around very often and yours is one of the nicest I've seen.

Thanks Scott

The SM120 is a great watch and very under-rated imho. Personally I prefer them to the SM300, mainly because there's so many fakes and frankenwatch SM300's examples out there. You're right too they seem far thinner on the ground, the only other one I've seen is a mint example Al sold a while back.

I think my example must be either a Watchco or STS job, the dial is definitely a modern replacement, as is the handset (I think the original handset has a silver surround not black like mine). I bought an original NOS dial for it but I think it would look out of place with the rest of the watch really so never got it fitted. A quick case back pic for you.

If you want to know any more just yell.

Cheers,

Gary

Gary,

Thanks for the info and here's the one from the Ohio GTG. It used to belong to Chris (chrisk) but he sold it in March and unfortunately I just missed it. I keep hoping that the new owner will flip it soon. LOL

Here's the pics:

FYI - This one was redone by Omega Bienne and It has the same hand set as yours.

Thanks Scott, I think mine is dates from around 1968 so maybe that explains the different case back.
Interesting that Chris's example has had the Bienne treatment though as all other examples I've seen have a brushed case finish.
I'm guessing that, like a lot of other discrepencies I've been finding of late with Omega's, there's a lot of dial / handset variations and not just one definitive version.
The example that sold at Omegamania (lot no. 124, sold for $3,745.) has a silver handset and I know a UK enthusiast who's example has them also.
Anyway here's hoping Chris gets bored with his or sees something else he just can't resist.

Cheers,

Gary

I've just switched to the 'tona for a change but I've been wearing my 67 Speedmaster most of the week as I had a mineral crystal caseback fitted to it for my birthday. That cal 321 movement is just so beautiful.

Cheers - Simon
