Sometimes here, sometimes there, and sometimes I can't remember where

Definitely Mark Spitz although I doubt he would have been so fast if he was wearing one of those.

That's weird.

It's a definite Olympic multi Gold medallist.

When I first stumbled across this site I contacted Al and in our first few email exchnages I sent him the pic below as something that is right at the top of my wish list. I prefer it very slightly to the Movado version, but seeing as I am a great Movado fan (still wearing that Pilot - haven't changed for 6 months!), either would be purchased instantly.

So, if anyone here ever sees the Zenith Super Sub Sea for sale, please let me know.

Ian

Shall I have the black dial or the white dial?

Cliffy, I would take this one.

In 10 years I have seen a handful of them and less than half were Zenith, most were Movado as they had a better track record with Dive Chronographs.

The Movado Super Sub Sea version with the round case has been offered to me for £3,000 NOS 5 years ago and that wasn't a joke!

What can I say?

This is the first time I've seen either the Movado or the Zenith and I'm smitten. Can't decide which version I like best, probably the more conservative Movado but then again....

A definite Mark Spitz for me although I'd be swimming around in circles if I wore this. Maybe that's the answer, just wear them both. Lol!

Cheers,

Gary

Spitz all the way - for both actually. Absolute stunners.

This is a great looking watch, definitely Mark Spitz, and one that's been on my wish list ever since I first saw it (on Neil's Chronomaster site. Sold for about £1100.) Kicking myself for not leaping at the chance, when it was there. They do crop up occasionally on Chrono24.

I guess I tipped my hand by blurting out my appreciation of this watch on the sales post...
Mark Spitz, for definite, leaving David Wilkie trailing in its wake.
I actually do prefer the Movado version to the Zenith.
I also notice that the Movado has a hatched compressor-style crown, and the Zenith one that is a little smaller. I assume that the Movado one is the original? Even if it is not, it is a cool detail.
cheers
