B-bling, b-blong!! Not convinced, and it's not a patch on the older ones for me.

I'm bang in the middle when it comes to these.

They're a bit too easy to wear to be cool. Seems to me everyone with a bit of cash to splash chooses it as an easy option.

Too little thought to be cool.

Having said that, Id' still buy an early modern one (if that makes sense) if the right one came up at the right price. But I'm odd like that!

Afraid it looks too much like a cheap watch trying hard not to look like a cheap watch, which is a real failing in a watch costing this sort of money.

I'm with Geoff!

The hands are stolen from Heuer & Zenith's '69 range but I would still wear it just not for £15,000

I'm giving it a b-bing rating because of its history - I am a real fan of the early models with the paul newman dail; however, like others have said, if you have a few bucks to spend on a watch then this is what they buy.

I have tried to comvice a few of my friends to spend their money differently - their response was that it's a ROLEX what could be better!!!

I leave it at that.

TBH I'm not really a fan of the vintage models, so this does absolutely nothing for me. I really can't stand metal bezels, especially shiny ones either. I like the hands, though frankly I'd rather have them on Al's Zenith El Primero's and bank the remains of the £15k. As Terry so rightly said it looks to like a cheap imitation of a Daytona. A bit of a bing from me I'm afraid.

Cheers,

Gary

I was going to give it Kerching just to be provocative but I just couldn't do it. I am also in the middle and I think I would be tempted if they were about 1/5 of the price. As it stands, I think the hype that Rolex creates by limiting the numbers of steel Daytonas is more marketing b*ll*cks and it just winds me up (no pun intended). Let's face it, the steel Daytona is a reasonable piece along with any number of similar offering by other brands but it just ain't worth that much.

This looks like a watch from 'Boss' or some other style-brand house. I'm staggered Rolex would do such a thing. We also need to ask ourselves where the distinguishing features are?

Just doesn't work for me, even if it wasn't so darned expensive.

I think it is one of the best looking current Daytona's and tried to no avail to get Rolex to fit the dial and hands to my SS Daytona a couple of years ago.
The only better looking one at present IMO is the Meteorite dial, now that is a stunner and worth every penny even though it is well out of my range.
