The idea of forums is for people to meet discuss and share ideas about watches, old new, blue, green anything! The site is largely for chronograph enthusiasts, but that does not mean that you cannot post about other types of watches just as long as they are interesting in their own way. Discuss ‘Off topic’ subjects not relating to the watch world and post your pictures too See Forum Guide for advice.

How about some more 'Cool Wall' watches to ponder over the weekend?

I like this one but do you.....?

Pic shamelessly borrowed from the Doxa Forum.

Although I'm not generally a fan of PVD watches I do like this one. Maybe because it eliminates the slight blingyness of the S/S case. I'm going for Darth Vadar, although if it was my money I'd definitely have to see them both in the metal before choosing.

Cheers,

Gary

P.S. Is this another one of your alter ego's Dave J? Lol!

A little known movie fact for you Al. The Boogie Nights directors preferred choice for Roller Girl was Gwyneth Paltrow. Can't imagine it working personally, especially as Heather Graham really made the role her own.

OK dweeb hat off and back to watch nonsense!

Cheers,

I've been away for 4 days, with PVD Sharky, Bremont and the old Yellow Doxa Divingstar.
This is Darth Vader, but then you all knew I'd vote that way!! Had not one bad comment about this, or the Bremont. The common thread about the Mil Sharky is the Stealth factor.

Actually, I prefer it with the black rubber band, and I ove it (as Gary knows). And there is nothing wrong with Dirk, here is my signature "elsewhere":

"-So you're a man of principles.
-I have a few, but they don't apply to women..."

The rubber looks good, I will agree, but the "keepers" are really sticky to get the tongue through and it is a pain in the a...!! I switched back to the bracelet which is super comfy.

If you're going for BLACK, go all the way: get rid of all the orange accents and minute hand.  Stark black and white only would be my choice, and polish the steel before applying the PVD.  Then maybe it might approach Darth Vaderism.  "Luke..it is your DESTINY!"

And BTW, Boogie Nights was indeed a great movie - a retelling of the biblical parable of the Prodigal Son, but with a porno producer as the patriarch  - fantastic!
