The idea of forums is for people to meet discuss and share ideas about watches, old new, blue, green anything! The site is largely for chronograph enthusiasts, but that does not mean that you cannot post about other types of watches just as long as they are interesting in their own way. Discuss ‘Off topic’ subjects not relating to the watch world and post your pictures too See Forum Guide for advice.

The deployment used by Bremont has changed  a few times since last year. The current ones (shown bottom) have screws to fasten the buckle to the strap not spring bars. Also they have a cutout in the strap so they will fit a normal tang buckle and deployment.

Here is a picture that shows the difference between the versions, arranged from top to bottom in chronological order.

Which did yours come with?

Martin

Top one.......

I like that they are now set up for using a buckle or a deployment.

Mine came with the top one, and it is the only thing I would change about the watch. My watch was Alt-1c number 0006. It sits poorly on the wrist, but is a bit better reversed as per the suggestion on here. I would like to get one of the others. Guess it would have to be the second one as the strap does not have the cut-out for the 3rd one and I am not about to mess about with it.
Al? Any idea how much they are or if they even sell them?

I have the top clasp. ALT1-C/0051.

I too was thoroughly disappointed by the deployment clasp on my Bremont, as well as the packaging. The length of the strap and the clasp used makes it practically unwearable (due to wrist size) in it's standard form, hence my searching for a strap to replace it. Having smallish wrists does not help matters.

I would be interested to know how you get on with this as a bona-fide bremont clasp would be ideal, the 2 most recent ones looking to fit the bill much better. Since the Original strap would (probably) still be too long, either would work.

I am curious how the boys at Bremont feel about that fact pretty much everyone seems to feel disappointed by the original clasp, and how much they care.

Please don't get me wrong - I do love my ALT1-C. Just a couple of the details left me wanting.

I have the middle one. Works great and comfortable. Prefer a metal band, so I am hoping that is out soon.
