The idea of forums is for people to meet discuss and share ideas about watches, old new, blue, green anything! The site is largely for chronograph enthusiasts, but that does not mean that you cannot post about other types of watches just as long as they are interesting in their own way. Discuss ‘Off topic’ subjects not relating to the watch world and post your pictures too See Forum Guide for advice.

Having found my camera has a super-macro function, after 4 years, I thought I'd throw this baby into the mix. Apologies to any Steve Zissou fans.

oops!

i think I went 'Life Aquatic' thinking that was good. Das boot is the good one right?

Coz life Aquatic was a 'croc'!

I started talking about these watches more than 5 years ago, in fact my wedding anniversary is jan 26th (6 years this year and I wore one to the alter) when no one new what they were..... they are very attractive to wear and of course the 'diving connection males them 'desireable'.

Silver is the rarest as I have only ever seen 3 and your one is the 'only' one I have seen with the 'copper' markers.

Definitely a great watch!

Alistair

I am clearing the cool wall stuff into the correct galleries. Can someone vote on Dave's watch so I know where to put it please. Surely Uber, right?

Almost das Boot, as I love the overall appearance and the watch back alone is worthy of considerable merit, but ..... I don't see the true value of a watch hand that has does not point to something, i.e. the chrono function at 9. Is it there just so you can tell the watch is running without putting it to your ear, or am I missing something? Secondly, I really dislike the cut-off hour hand - looks like someone has vandalised the watch with a pair of tin snips!

Cheers .... Terry

Now I just love this one! In fact I just can't see what's not to like. Fantastic markers, brilliant use of textures on the dial and subdial which in great in it's over sized wonderousness. I love those type 48 style hands and although a bit daft, the second counter/pointer thingy is cool in its own way too.

I suppose if I were to nit pick the case is a bit generic but I kinda like the toolish nature of that too! Fab watch to my eyes and one that's on my "to get" list, although it is a rather long list!

Cheers,

Gary
