| Undeniably nice, and I do like the black on white combination. I am resisting giving it the dogs because I think a nicer looking hand set is required and I prefer a black bezel to silver - oh and I can't afford one as well! |

Sorry for some reason this one doen't do it for me and I cannot put m finger on exactly why. Maybe it's the bezel or the dial colours. I also agree that the hands need something else...

Nope does nothing for me either. It seems to be suffering from an identity crisis to my eyes, the case is nice and elegant so the screw down pushers look like overkill and are disproportionate in comparison. The weedy silver hands on white don't really aid legibility but would be forgivable if you didn't have the black subdials reminding you how legible it could be. And finally, a personal preference but, I really don't like metal bezels with the text etched into the surface, it just doesn't look right somehow.
Apart from that it looks OK, lol!
Cheers,
Gary |

Alistair,
I am a little confused: Which is the top of the list (i.e., Uber cool) - "dog's Ball's" or "ginny pig's marbles?"

Myself i am perpetually confused.
In cockney rhyming slang, the 'Dog's Bollocks' are considered the best thing since 'sliced bread' so the 'Dog's' is the top.
Pics from the GTG later, it was great, lot's of Bremonts to drool over and generally good chat. |

Over here the "Duck's Guts" gets the top billing. Go figure, I love duck, but you can keep the gizzards (and no, I don't mean the movement, Simon!!)

Al,
Thanks for the clarification. I am surprised that I didn't understand since my wife says that I am always cockney ... or maybe that's "cocky."
Can't wait to see the GTG pics. I am very jealous!!! |
