The idea of forums is for people to meet discuss and share ideas about watches, old new, blue, green anything! The site is largely for chronograph enthusiasts, but that does not mean that you cannot post about other types of watches just as long as they are interesting in their own way. Discuss ‘Off topic’ subjects not relating to the watch world and post your pictures too See Forum Guide for advice.

Another under used toy to hit the block. This one has been languishing under my stairs for a year or so now having been superceded by something else.

A Claud Butler Professional bought new by me around 7 years or so ago. It's been well used - I used to do over 120 miles a week, all year round - but very well maintained. It's never been dropped and I would say it's in good to very good condition.

Aluminium frame with steel front fork. Currently sized for my gangly 6' 4" frame but will easily accomodate a smaller rider. At worst you might need a shorter seat and handlebar post.

Full Shimano 105 drive train, including hubs. These are very slick and smooth, gear changes are imperceptible, especially if you're used to mountain bike shimano kit, very impressive indeed.

Mavic XP11 rims with pretty much new Michelin tyres.

A few pics.

The only real sign of use is the frame, there's a few areas where the paint is peeling. Can't be rust as it's aluminium, so nothing detramental to the frame itself, just cosmetic really. Worst affected area is the cable stay's, quick pic.

Overall a great way to get fit and improve stamina for mountain biking, which is essentially why I bought it. I cleaned it up, reset the gears/brakes etc and re-lubed it this afternoon so it's fit to ride with no issues.

I'd like £225 for this please. Collection preferred from either Bristol or Wantage, I could meet you within a 50 radius of Bristol or 25 mile radius or Wantage. If anyone from further afield is interested I can look into Parcel Farce costs. Cheque, bank transfer or Paypal (+4%) all fine with me.

Thanks for reading and if anyone wants to know more, just fire away. Email me at garyandlucy[at]blueyonder[dot]co[dot]uk

Cheers,

Gary
