When I first started this little business I needed some business cards and being a web devotee I went on line to find a supplier.
Vistaprint had just started and I was totally impressed with their technical model for choosing designs and even more impressed that they actually delivered what I had put together and at a great price.
However it appears they have now become a monster!
I ordered some address label stickers for my packages a few weeks ago and one of those 'roll-over' stamps so I could make sure that every part of the packaging would be covered.
Well they seem to have sent me 2 stamps! Normally that wouldn't be a problem but they have charged me the full price for one of them. Now this is a little gimmick! As you go through their merchant area to pay, other offers pop up related to your order.
However if you click on them to see what it is you inadvertantly order one which does not show up until the end of your check out and as you have already gone beyond the 'edit stage' of your order, then that is 'it' you are getting it anyhow! Now I could send it back but because of the shipping it is hardly worth it but you are looking £8-10 but if say 50% of their customers get caught out once and like me can't be bothered to send it back then you are looking at a 'very serious' con!
Well that is a con in my opinion and I googled Vistaprint to see if anyone else has had any problems and there seems to be a raft of complaints about this practice!
Safe to say that I will be looking for another supplier and ironickly enough as I write this they have just mail shot me 'AGAIN'!
Just too aggressive for my liking.
